Most large companies dealing with modular home business is situated in Illinois although they also provide modular homes and buildings in other state as well. There are several modular home types that are common in Illinois. First on the list is the Ranch Modular Home. This is a single-story that varies from cottage-like structures to a spacious home. This is home type that is perfect fit for a family. Next is the Colonial Modular Homes. It is a two-story floor plan that can accommodate even the extended family. More rooms are available with ample space for lots of guests. Third is the Cape Cod Modular Home which has many choices of how you want your exterior home would look like. Just like the latter type of modular home, this is also spacious for family and guests that can adapt with the growing number of persons to live in it. And the last one is the Multi-family Modular Homes. As stated in its name, it has a multi-family floor plan. It is like a duplex or triplexes and even quadplexes rolled into one. All have high-quality pre-engineered components that are delivered on site before being assembled. Before anybody can have a modular home in Illinois, they must comply first with the standards set by the State of Illinois Dept. of Public Health. Once inspected and approved, the manufacturer would place the Yellow State of Illinois approval seal. When a modular home bears the Yellow State of Illinois sticker it simply means that it had been solidly constructed with excellent quality. A construction standard of a modular home includes some of the following: The area where the modular home stand has a permanent perimeter foundation. Whereas in the case of manufactured homes, the foundation is usually supported by concrete blocks. The hallways should be at least 36 inches wide. The entrance door needs a minimum measurement of 6 feet by 8 inches by 3 feet. The plumbing system has to have the requirements set by the Illinois State Plumbing Code. Drainage system should have ventilation located outside of the modular home and all hose faucets needs back flow protection device. With almost the same standards and quality like that of a manufactured home, people residing in Illinois really do prefer having modular homes instead. It has a better money-value, high-quality, and they can live in it after a couple of weeks of construction. It is very rare in Illinois to have a modular home that looks exactly the same as their neighbors because manufacturers has a lot of variety of computerized design plans to choose from. Best of all, it requires low maintenance compared to the manufactured homes in Illinois. |
